終於看了梵高的《星夜》(Starry Night)的真蹟了﹗
千多呎的展館，幾百人擠在一起，仰望這幅梵高的傑作。他的畫跟早期的土氣油畫的確有很大差別。那些近乎寫實的農民、鄉土味濃的畫，其實很質樸，可以見到梵高內心的寧靜。
後來那些色調大膽的畫作，看看創作的年份，正是他入了精神病院時間的作品。那幅在精神病院花園畫雨後天色的畫The Garden of Saint Paul’s Hospital，畫家眼裡看到的已經不是我們凡人所能看到的東西。
我很欣賞展館放了梵高喜歡引用的詩句的原書。其中有美國的詩人Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882)。感覺上，這首詩跟這幅畫的境界完全不一樣。我覺得畫家好像在鑽牛角尖，越鑽越深……

I was lucky to see a few Van Gogh’s paintings at Orsay Museum in Paris last year. Very touching experience. It was so wonderful. My heart hurt!
I was lucky to see this and “The Night Cafe” when visiting the Yale campus (on loan to their art gallery) over the summer. Pored over his paintings in high school art class, but only felt their true power when looking at them in person. Such amazing texture and colors, and you really could sense the unstableness of his mind…
我也很渴望可以一暏真蹟！我大一時修的通識藝術導論，便用了梵高的＂星夜＂跟蒙克的＂吶喊＂作比較。我還記得當時起的題是＂色情與線情＂！ 哈哈，年少無知亂玩pun!
我第一次見到呢幅畫，淨係想起極光，或者諸神的黃昏之類。
總之覺得非常恐怖。
呢種畫只適合放喺美術館畀人參觀。
幾年前走去鏡框舖想買幅畫掛喺客廳，
居然見到裝裱好”口既”星夜複製品(當然只係一幅印刷精美”口既”海報)，
心諗點會有人會買啲咁嘢掛喺屋企？！
點知過幾日再搵，幅星夜居然唔見咗。
唔知買主掛咗幅畫之後有冇發現佢屋企風水出事？
我年少太輕狂，千里迢迢去到梵高家鄉荷蘭，真跡在博物館我竟然過門而不入。。。還要到了幾廿歲人先後知後覺，上週剛買了哥德堡博物館全年通行証，實行向你學習，多帶方芳方悠去玩。真是你inspire我的，多謝！
最近我也常看這幅畫，因為它在Classical Baby: The Art Show 裡出現，花生公主很喜歡Classical Baby，所以我也常看了。
Classical Baby 是給BB看的﹑以古典音樂作配樂的卡通，我相信所有BB都喜歡。

我還是用中文寫好了。他的畫的筆觸很特別，有強烈的立體感，一定要現場看才可感受。但他的畫令人看了有點不舒服。

啊，帶小朋友去博物館真的很有益的。阿包最熟大都會藝術博物館的埃及館了。佢好鍾意木乃伊的。埃及同事特別從埃及給佢買回木乃伊玩具，中國製造的。幾諷刺。

i was in MoMA on the 29th. but i missed van gogh. i could only got the yellow tickets for 5.00pm. a pity that i couldn’t spend much more time in MoMA. but i like miro’s painting and anti-painting and marlene dumas’s measuring your own grave.
btw were you in the times square the day before new year’s eve? i thought i had met you in a japanese noodles shop (can’t recall the name now) next to the m&m shop. i don’t know why i think so. probably because i saw a chinese woman with an american man and a young girl.
The Man who Loves Everton,
I didn’t go to MoMA on the 29th. Actually I went there on the 26th by myself only. I am not a big fan of modern arts. I spent more time sitting at the bookstore, reading the book “Horror movie”. OH, it’s cheaper in Strand.
Then I went to the Museum of Moving Image on the 31st. Wow…”Behind the Screen” features special effects on horror movies, Sci-fi movies, YEAH! My cup of tea!
