I read this blog whenever I feel hungry and craving for some homestyle cuisine.
I discovered from my blog’s sitemeter that some people (presumably they are non-Chinese readers) read my blog using google translation. You can try and see if it works. But of course, don’t expect 100% accuracy.
ok, let me tell you dear xx, readandeat is funny and friendly. She writes excellent Chinese, in a way informative and literary. It is all about food and drink and restaurant and and books and words and… and perhaps nostalgia. Her nostalgia and probably ‘our’ nostalgia an old song, a pop movie, or tiny tasty food of street stalls which do not exist any more…
well then we would tell you more about her blogs if you could sing us her readers a song here
I had an impression it is a boring place, but it turns out I like the articles, messages, shared items and old fashioned people very much. I don’t know how to tell you the details about this blog but I know there is always someone there for me to share ‘read’ and ‘eat’ and more.
may i add that it’s always refreshing to read about the little things your husband and you do for each other- like how you guys would climb out of bed early in the morning to get each other a piece of cake (certainly not a piece of cake!)
oh by the way, Mr. God of the Kitchen, i can’t believe you actually own so many pans and pots and what-not…
What do I think of readandeat’s blog.
1. the title tells all, about books to read, foods to eat.
2. a blog with excellent chinese writing.
3. a blog that most C9 can related to, bond to.
4. ReadandEat shares a lot of knowledge that I don’t know, therefore, I keep coming back the feed my ignorance.
5. a blog that can be both fun and serious to read.
……okay.. I should leave it for other to list….
readandeat is a keen observer. She writes about everyday events that sound boring on the surface, but sprinkles them with interesting tidbits from her research, colors them with her personal insights, and dresses them with her great writing style. A very pleasant and informative read.
Your talent and passion on food has brought us never-ending saliva dripping experiences on all corners of the globe, especially us who are HKers but have moved far away from the Paradise of Food because of true love, just like your also talented, learned and generous wife.
You may have no idea how Readandeat takes such an essential role in our (Chinese/Cantonese) mental well being. I would love to be your neighbor and invite myself over to your place for delicatessen A-Z…..
All the best to your kitchen and your lovely family,
/eva from HK in Sweden

You are a blogger with a warm heart, and writing with passion about bodily and spiritual happiness.
A nicely written blog. You mix your food with your life or, your mix your life with your food?
Looking at the site metre I understand more about a Chinese proverb : people-mountain-people-sea.
anything about eat and read in this big big world – isn’t that simple and straight enough already
“I write this piece cos my gweilo husband do not know what i’m writing everyday!” … just kidding
This is a bond which ties all sorts of gourmets, bookworms, C9s (I bet gweilo do no know C9) and nosy people like me

I don’t speak English! =P
This blog is a library and a tasty feast!
What I want to say …. Ok, one more, it’s also a place for sharing 包容.
What 包容 is?
1.to tolerate; to forgive
2.to contain; to hold
