Our respectable God of The Kitchen,

Your talent and passion on food has brought us never-ending saliva dripping experiences on all corners of the globe, especially us who are HKers but have moved far away from the Paradise of Food because of true love, just like your also talented, learned and generous wife.

You may have no idea how Readandeat takes such an essential role in our (Chinese/Cantonese) mental well being. I would love to be your neighbor and invite myself over to your place for delicatessen A-Z…..

readandeat is a keen observer. She writes about everyday events that sound boring on the surface, but sprinkles them with interesting tidbits from her research, colors them with her personal insights, and dresses them with her great writing style. A very pleasant and informative read.

What do I think of readandeat’s blog.
1. the title tells all, about books to read, foods to eat.
2. a blog with excellent chinese writing.
3. a blog that most C9 can related to, bond to.
4. ReadandEat shares a lot of knowledge that I don’t know, therefore, I keep coming back the feed my ignorance.
5. a blog that can be both fun and serious to read.
……okay.. I should leave it for other to list….

may i add that it’s always refreshing to read about the little things your husband and you do for each other- like how you guys would climb out of bed early in the morning to get each other a piece of cake (certainly not a piece of cake!)

oh by the way, Mr. God of the Kitchen, i can’t believe you actually own so many pans and pots and what-not…

I had an impression it is a boring place, but it turns out I like the articles, messages, shared items and old fashioned people very much. I don’t know how to tell you the details about this blog but I know there is always someone there for me to share ‘read’ and ‘eat’ and more.
