這本兒童名著在小朋友一歲多時已買下來了，是在圖書館大義賣中看到的，只是五毛錢，不買的話真的對不起小朋友。
文字和故事都很簡單，睡前用來講故事最適合。
每個小朋友都有自己的一片天，就像另一本兒童作品《Harold and the Purple Crayon》(Crockett Johnson創作和畫插畫的)。如果要比較的話，我覺得的「紫色蠟筆」更富想像力。另一本我喜歡Crokett Johnson畫插畫的，是Ruth Krauss《The Carrot Seed》。別以為兒童書很容易寫，這幾本兒童書都是上世紀四十、五十和六十年代的作品，今天已經成為經典。今天拿來看，故事仍很吸引。
為什麼無端端提起這本五年前買的書呢？我也要翻開書架一角才找到它，因為是經典，我們沒有送給人。
因為學校派了成績表，為了奬勵一下小朋友，所以特別去 看了一場《Where the Wild Things Are》。電影打正旗號是改編自這本名著，這「改編」真的是改編，除了主角小朋友的名字、怪獸的外型。單憑原書中那百多字的劇情，要拍成一個半小時的電影，可想而知，編的成份多重。所以我得回家找這本書出來，印證一下，到底電影中的情節是否曾在書中出現過。
這電影好不好看呢？我會答，這電影適合心智較成熟的小朋友看。有些劇情我看到有點不明所以，反正也不影響欣賞電影，我也得過且過。
不過，插曲很悅耳，充滿小朋友的童真。

i ‘ve been wanting to see it since i last saw the clip at the cinema. and i even took a picture with the cut-out cardboard. me being max, though the picture, in then end, looks like i’m the “wild thing”. alas.

I like the original post title, it adds certain sweetness to the secret garden–the flower, the bee and the honey. Now there is only secret without sweetness. I am not going to read this post anymore until you change it back.

Honestly, I think the storybook is more interesting than the film. The following week, i.e. last weekend, we watched Astro Boy. I think this one is better.
